Website
Fortin Renovation — The first website for a renovation crew in Magnesia
I designed and built a bilingual Next.js website from scratch for Valentin and his crew, so it brings in phone calls and quote requests from clients around Volos and Magnesia.
Project Overview & My Role
Valentin Fortin and his crew handle renovations, repairs and construction work around Volos and Magnesia, from a small plumbing fix to a full home renovation. Their work came almost entirely through word of mouth. There was no website, so anyone searching for “renovations Volos” on Google simply couldn’t find them. The goal was a clean online presence that brings in phone calls and quote requests.
I took on the whole project from the start: the structure and design, the copy, the Next.js build, the CMS for the portfolio and reviews, the contact form and the technical SEO. I also set up the bilingual version in Greek and English, so the site reaches foreign owners who have a house on Pelion and around Magnesia.
The challenge
The crew had never had a website, nor any photos organised in one place. The challenge was twofold. First, to show the work of a crew that people usually only trust through a referral, in a way that feels credible. Second, to make getting in touch as easy as possible, because with renovations the client wants to call right away or quickly send over what they need. It also had to be easy to find in local searches and understandable to non-Greek-speaking owners.
The solution
I built a site that puts trust and action first. The homepage leads with a video of real projects, the services are split cleanly into six categories (bathroom, kitchen, rooms, exterior work, repairs, special builds) and the call button stays in view at all times. The phone number and the form are available from everywhere, so a visitor can reach out in one click.
I set up a portfolio page with filters by type of work and a lightbox for the photos. Valentin adds new projects and client reviews himself through the CMS, without needing me. The form is wired up so every request lands straight in his inbox.
The site is bilingual, with a Greek and an English version, and built for local SEO. I added structured data for a construction business, a frequently asked questions page, proper meta tags and consistent contact details, so it shows up for searches like “renovations Volos”.
The result
Fortin Renovation now has its own website at fortin-renovation.gr, fast and easy on mobile, where most searches happen. For the first time the crew has a professional online presence and a steady way to receive new requests, beyond referrals.
Valentin updates projects and reviews himself through the CMS, so the site grows alongside his work without depending on me. The bilingual version also opens the door to foreign owners in the area.
